dior & ysl

I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts this week. I can't wait for summer to roll around so that I can enjoy endless shopping (well, really window shopping) and blogging. To get back into the blogging groove, I have compiled a few delectable looks and some of the most luxurious windows-- oh la la.

When I hear even a mumble about Christian Dior or YSL, I am instantly intrigued. They are so iconic and absolutely unprecedented in their creativity. Browsing online, I realized that so many celebrities have had arguably their shining, fashion moments while donning these designers' gowns. And, not even considering celebrities their have been so many major, runway moments for the designers.

Peek through the looks and windows below to fall in love.

springtime florals at nordstrom

While window shopping a few days ago, I fell in love with Nordstrom's window display. The window combined florals, pastels, and even butterflies to illustrate spring's hottest trends.

Dress #1, Dress #2, Dress #3
The Lela Rose dresses above are ethereal and sweet. I can easily see a young girl frolicking through a meadow during the 18th Century in the first dress (the one lounging on the floor). However, the others are slightly more sophisticated and modern. Although I love the image that the first dress evokes, I can't really see myself wearing it. But, I would love to wear the others for Easter or some other spring event. I guess I will have to wait until next year! Hopefully, pastels and floral patterns will still be in style.

The BCBG, Trina Turk, and DVF dresses in this window while not quite ethereal are still trendy, fun, and spring appropriate. I am obsessing over the middle dress in lilac with its fun, geometric lines. The turquoise dress to the left is also super easy and cute. One of my favorite trends this spring is lace (I actually just purchased two lace items at Urban Outfitters today), and these dresses are all fall under that category. Therefore, I am obsessed with them.

the saks blend

Apologies in advance for the jumbled post that I have written here. Rather than writing a fairly long series of posts about my recent escapades at Saks, I decided to condense my visits into one: right here. So, here goes... I love Saks Fifth Avenue.

Isn't it so beautiful?

While I was in New York, I enjoyed these lovely Chanel displays. At the risk of sounding quite cliché and a bit dramatic, it was breathtaking. The white, the tweed, the sparkles were all painstakingly manipulated to create these gorgeous looks. I wish I could live in Chanel. But alas, I do not even own a pair of Chanel sunglasses. Eventually, it will happen, right? For now, I will continue to window shop and stare in awe at the quality of these frocks and at the immense detail that I admire so much. Sorry for the poor quality of these photos!

Has anyone read "My List: Karl Lagerfeld in 24 Hours" in this month's Harper's Bazaar? It was my airplane reading today, and I have now decided that being Karl Lagerfeld would not be too shabby.  Multiple houses, cars, cooks, and cars. I like it. And, back to window shopping.

This Christian Louboutin display is so wonderful. How could it not be while showcasing so many fantastic heels. I die every time I see a red sole.

black and white-- how trendy

Back at home, I made a trip to my local Saks Fifth Avenue. Although it is not quite as majestic and grand, especially in size as the original, it is still gorgeous and clearly incredibly fashionable.

Another beautiful Christian Louboutin display created by Saks, marking the designer's twentieth anniversary collection. Yay!

Unfortunately, I missed Nanette Lepore at Saks. But, I still enjoyed this super fun, spring window filled with neon colors, floral prints, and an ice cream truck (see in the reflection). It just so happened that Coolhaus gave out free, amazingly delicious and creative ice cream sandwiches. I lucked out. I definitely need to find another Coolhaus truck for a nice, cold treat during the summer.

P.S. Thank you for reading this incredibly long post!
